Smoothie Lovin'

Random foodie post for today. While trawling through Instagram and Pinterest, I kept seeing these Acai smoothie bowls that looked uh-mazing, so I thought I'd try them out. Now it was at this point that I released I had no Acai at home, naturally. So I made do with what I had. With the help of my trusty Nutribullet it took a max of 5 minutes to prepare and blend.

Ingredients:
x2 Bananas (frozen or otherwise)
Handful of frozen berries
Soya Milk
Coconut Water
Seed mix (mine had flax, sunflower and chia seeds)
Vanilla Essence ...because why not?!

There you go, fairly simple. I'm not one to spend hours in the kitchen in the mornings particularly for breakfast!

Clashin'

The sun has arrived, hooray! Now if it would just stay here that would be great! However it unfortunately didn't , believe or not it was legit snowing a couple of days after this. I have no idea what the Irish weather is doing but it would want to sort itself out.

Anyway, I was heading into town this day so the outfit is pretty chill. The skirt was an absolute bargain that I picked up last summer, the shirt is yearrrss old and the shoes are last season Topshop. Who would have thought navy and black would work so well together? For once, I went for a bold red lip which I don't tend to wear because my teeth aren't the nicest but hey'ho.

What's your favourite lipstick colour?

Camel.

I had planned on an all black outfit post and in a sense that's what this is but with the weather being -50 gizillion degrees cold I had to opt for my trusty winter coat to pair with it. I picked this beauty up in a Charity shop in Dublin and it works wonders for those bitterly cold days! Under the coat I'm wearing a super comfy black polo, black skinnies and my favourite pair of  pointy shoes! More out posts are on the way!

P.S Merry Christmas!

Beige on Beige.

For those days of comfy-casual with a little somethin' somethin'  I always opt for a one tone outfit. Now generally speaking this tends to be black or more recently all white. Beige is a colour I've always loved mainly because I think it compliments every skin tone under the sun. From the fairest of all to the darkest skin tones, you're covered. I think there's something expensive looking about wearing one colour for a whole outfit. Maybe it's just me but I find no matter where you've bought the pieces when put together they look timeless and somewhat classy.

Now that's not exactly what I'd say for this outfit as a whole but I definetely think that the jumper and trousers don't look any where near as cheap as they were!

What's your favorite ensemble for the season?

Graffic.

Trips in to town are always necessary once in a while. This outfit is from a few weeks ago, just when the weather was starting to get chillier. Hence, the big coat. I don't know about you, but I love, love, love Autumn weather. The leaves, and the sun and mist make the perfect backdrop!
The backround here however, was taken at a great little spot with loads of amazing grafeti around. Something I've always noticed about Dublin city is the level of amazing grafeti!

Dior.

I've got to admit I'm not usually one for spending a large amount of money on a single item, particularly with makeup. As far as money goes, I try to get the most out of what I have. Extravagant pieces, whether it be fashion or makeup related, are never usually on my radar, with the exception of this fabulous Dior Lipstick. Beauty related posts are also something that I wouldn't be into that much, as I've mentioned before. However, on the rare occasion that I do find a makeup item that I adore, sometimes they're just too good not to rave about!

This fabulous product has gorgeous deep blue and black packaging with the Christian Dior initials at the top. Let's be honest, the packaging is probably the real reason why I went for this lipstick. As for as the consistency of this product goes, it's not unlike Mac. Having said that, red lipstick and I, don't always see eye to eye. I'm pretty picky with them. Considering I don't have nice teeth anyway and the fact that they're not sparkling white makes me a little weary to wear any pinky, orange, red toned lipstick as it just makes my teeth look worse. So if I do buy a red lipstick, I always look out for blue toned red lippies. This way you're less likely to get that orange-y toned lip colour and is also why I love this lipstick so much!

It's a hefty price, no doubt, but think of it as an investment piece. If you're a lipstick person then why not treat yourself?! It's the perfect look for when you're in a rush! Hassle free!

What's your most expensive beauty item?

Brick by Brick.

Trying to look for inspirational or even funky places in Dublin, without going too far is pretty hard to find sometimes. This restaurant/café looks like it's been closed for years. The sheer amount of dead flies and spiders web on and inside the window was slightly disturbing. Anyway we got what we could and tried take a more thought through process rather than a more free hand approach, I guess.

So the main reason we're here, pretty make shift outfit really. Random jumper thrown on with a pair of mom jeans and I'm good to go. It's a pretty good transitional outfit, I would say. You could even add a scarf or big winter coat for the colder months.
I'm looking forward to more Autumn and Winter fashion!  What's your key wardrobe piece this season?

London Fashion Week.

And another year rolls by of London Fashion Week without my attendance, sadly. Thanks to school I've been unable to go. However I got invited to Corks Fashion Week so that may be on the horizon for me! We shall see!
So here's my quick rundown of some of my fave looks!

Ashish

I generally not really a sparkle and sequins kind of girl, I find that all too often the pieces can come across as tacky, but this collection. Well. I (and the rest of the world basically) are infatuated with this. It's so fabulous. The fur, the glitter, the sparkles, it's just a glittery fabulousness really.
This collection was designed by British fashion designer Ashish. He took inspiration from none other than Miley Cyrus and Kim K herself! I don't think gingham has ever looked so amazing!

Lou Aslop

This collection is quite different. I love the graffic prints and box shapes. It's a lot more 90s and concentrates on more light layering with shift dresses, fraying and flowing fabrics everywhere!

MishMash

Weird one for today. This was a pretty rushed and spontaneous outfit that was put together last minute. Hence why it's such a random combination. The shirt featured in my last post, which is a staple piece while the trousers are a cheap version of similar ones I seen in Zara. The boots have been flying around all last season and were really popular. I tied my hair up lously and wore minimal jewelery to keep it simple. This was such a comfy outfit to wear when going out especially if you don't want to get too dressed up!

Oversize.

Cheap and cheerful outfit for his week. This was what I wore going to the cinema with some friends at what seems like years ago, in actual fact it was about 3 weeks ago! That's the power of school, you're gone and out of there for 3 months and as soon as you come back, bam, it feels like you've been there centuries without a break! The shirt is men's as I'm sure you can guess and everything else is relatively old, unfortunately. At least I've gotten good wear out of them!
