Vintage Galore.

Vintage outfit post

Hi all,

Yet again I've found myself gavitating towards my vintage pieces. I always love styling outfits around these kind of pieces because they make everything 10 times funner. The fluffy top is one of my mams oldies. I always find absolute gems in her wardrobe. Actually the retro jacket is from her closet too! It's like an 70s/80s dream. Everything from shoulder pads to bold colours to crop tops!
I thought the textures of this look worked really well together  the smoothness or the jacket coupled with the hairyness of the top I guess, it makes for an interesting combo. The jeans keep it somewhat interesting with the patchwork at the knees while the pointy boots stick with the overall polished theme. I also think this would look fab with a A-line denim skirt or a pair of brightly coloured structured trousers to give it a more definite 70s look!

Off Duty.

Aloha,

College(Uni) is well under way for the second term and I'm enjoying the switch up with my timetable. It definitely uplifts the repeatitive nature of going to college for sure that more often than not leads to *cough cough* skipping lectures- but we won't talk about that just yet.

On to the outfit- mixing lights and darks for this post. It's something I haven't done in a good while now, having the polar opposites of black versus some of the palest of blues for some reason gives a kind of high fashion feel. Not quite sure why I don't wear this more often to be honest!

Bell Bottoms 2.O

Hellooo,

The Bell bottoms are back again. I was messing around and experimenting with this little vintage gem that you seen here. I think I've rekindled my love for it recently after finding it hidden at the back of my wardrobe. Despite it being a little bit itching because of the fluffy material, I still love it. It works strangely well with so many outfits even though it's such a simple piece! Shout out to mam for this fav, once again!

What's your favourite simple wardrobe piece?

The Bomb.

Helloooo,

So naturally I've found myself addicted to wearing my new Boohoo bomber. You can mix it with anything and it comes pretty well, and it definitely adds something to any outfit, an edgy vibe or a pop of colour. My mission of incorporating more colour into my wardrobe is still underway. Pretty much with any money I have to spend on clothes I spend it on as much colour as possible!
With the colder weather coming in and the winter pieces in full swing in the shops, they are filled with deep, rich colours so at the moment I've been eyeing up mostly pastel colours as that's all that there seems to be in the shops. That said, before you know it we'll have spring upon us once again sure so maybe I'm better off embracing it , right?

Vintage Fun.

Boohoo jeans// Boohoo tee // Vinatage shirt // Nike trainers

Finally getting back into the swing of things now that summer is well and truly over. With college, along with everything else starting back up for everyone one now, I'll be figuring out a routine in the coming weeks so that I can keep posting regularly enough. Incorporating some lifestyle posts here and there, style inspirations of the moment and maybe even more frequent "what I eat in a day" posts are most definitely on my agenda.

For this outfit though my aim was to mix a street/sports luxe kind of look with a very refined vintage look. I think it worked out fairly well! If I had loose jogger pants or suitable tracksuit bottoms I would totally pair them with this look for a more focused sports x vintage look but I guess the jeans kind of tone it down slightly.

Finale.

So it's finally upon us, the very last of the holiday series and evidently, the very very last of summer. That said I am, as usual, looking forward to autumn/fall fashion. With denim on denim, geometric patterns, stripes and textures seen all over the runways and on the high street alike, I'm excited to see what the fall of 2015 has to offer and of course 2016. (wow, times really are a flyin'..)

Before I get ahead of myself with the excitement of the future, I'll get back to the post at heart! So this was our final night, and this is one of my favorite outfits purely for its comfort and well it is all black...The skirt was a Primark bargain ages ago and the bralet is from some random shop on Henry Street. As one of the best locations of the holiday, and possibly of all time, I think these shots are some of the best. With the sun setting in the background and the general holiday, chilled vibe of the area, I will 100% be returning to these villas for future holidays and I'm sure to Portugal but for now it's time to getting ready for college life!

Bioderma Event.

H&M shoes//River Island trousers//Vintage shirt//Republic blazer

Helloooo,

I'm back! Final exams are finished, done and dusted with school and it's safe to say it's been a bit of an anticlimax. Years of doing the same thing day in day out with the same routine and people....the next few months are going to be a huge change to say the least but on to bigger and better things, eh?!

This photos were taken a few weeks back but it feels like agessss ago now! Myself and Zara  went to the fabulous Bioderma blogger event for their launch here in Ireland! It was macaroons and fancy food galore!
I haven't had the chance to test the sun cream yet thanks to the terribly dull Irish weather so I can't report on that product just yet however I have been loving the primer! It does what any primer should do- blurs out rough textured skin and it makes my makeup stay on for a reasonable amount of time. As for minimising pores I can definitely see the effect but again I don't have large pores so I can't fully comment on that.
The bb cream on the other hand was a bit of a miss. Despite the fact that it's in the shade light it is extremely dark and so didn't match my skin tone but it definitely felt silky smooth which is always a good sign.
Of course the star product is the Micellar water. The praise this product has gotten is phenomenal and I can see why to be fair. It completely lifts off your makeup in one sweep, and when I say one sweep I genuinely mean one sweep! It feels like water(obvs) and isn't irritating at all!
I'll be continuing to use these products over the next few weeks and I'll get a chance to try the sunscreen when I go to Portugal in a few weeks time (Turn up). Now I'm not one for beauty reviews but if I like it enough you'll be seeing a full scale rave around here in a few weeks time!
(Watch this space..)

Crossways.

Hola,

So the triumphant vintage blazer makes a come back...I can't remember the last time I wore this coat to be honest, let only the last time it was featured  on the blog. One things for sure I've never worn it on such a nice day!  Before you ask, yes these photos were taken on the same day as one of my last posts and yes I am talking about the weather again...I think at this stage it's obvious most people, particularly Irish people have a habit of talking about the weather constantly! Sure look..

Anyway this was taken a good few weeks ago now and it's safe to say things have changed drastically on the weather front. As I wright this, I am sitting in my room with a mountain of books and study to do while the rain pours down my window as though it had never rained before. Praying for even a bit of that summer glow to come back!

As for the outfit it's self it's pretty much just a quick and simple way to jazz up day wear. Add a pair of heels, maybe throw in a clutch and a good structured jacket and you're good to go!

Fluff.

In a complete different style to my more recent posts, here I have THE most comfortable heels in existence. I was originally planning to go completely bear with my feet and wear them "normally" but it was just so cold I couldn't face taking even these thin socks off! The trousers and top are both Topshop which I think work quite well together. The mix in textures with the roughness of the top and the silky feel of the trousers, they make for an interesting combo.

In an attempt to work with what I have and improve the quality of my photos, I think this worked out pretty well, if I do say so myself! It's an ongoing process that will take time but I'll eventually get there! It's one of my goals for 2015 to have better quality photo's as well as improve the overall standard around here. With such a saturated market it's getting harder and harder for new bloggers to get going. At the same time, I think it's important not to compare. Easier said than done but it's something I think a lot of people fall victim to. Everyone's blog has a different audience, style, genre, opinions! So my aim is to use what I have and make it work!

How are your goals for 2015 holding up so far?

That's so 70s.

Some 70s inspiration that I'm seeing everywhere at the moment and loving it! I will 100% be looking towards this style for summer hauls. From clashing patterns and prints, bell bottom trousers, loose fitting skirts, messy wavy hair to sheer foundation and simple makeup it's safe to say I'll be trying to incorporate as much of this into my wardrobe this season as possible!

As well as this, the Harry Styles style inspiration continues! Sounds confusing....just like my last post I'm still getting outfit inspiration from the man himself. Recently enough, we've seen Harold sporting headscarves alongside his "long hair, don't care" reign.
Not too sure whether I'll actually try this or not myself but we'll see if I can work it as well as Harry!

What do you think of this era in fashion?

Stylin' like Harry Styles.

River Island jacket+boots / Topshop jeans / Vintage Kimono

First time ever trying to get photo's in darkness. With school and everything it's not really possible for me to go out and get pictures early morning so a girls got to do what a girls got to do! So bare with me for the lighting on this one. This outfit was sort of thrown together last minute but I think it works. It's somewhat inspired my Mr Harry Styles.
I love getting inspiration from celebs but I have to say, this is the first time I've ever gotten inspired by a male celebrity let alone a One Direction member! I've just joined Vine and he was one of the first people I followed! It seems that lately all of the boys have been definitely exercising their own style. With nearly every outfit I see on Harry, being a half opened shirt, tight jeans and boots. So there you go. With that said, mine cost no where near the cost of Harry's, naturally but I think it works. I've had these boots for forever now and still find that they can pull off any look. I've always said that you just can't beat a good white shirt!

Do you find inspiration from male celebs?
