What I eat in a day #4 hclf

Hello again,
So I started this day with cereal for a change. I couldn't decide which cereal I wanted so I ended up mixing oats, fruit and fiber as well as wheatabix! Seems like a lot of food, and I guess it is but it tastes so good! I posted the vitamin content of this meal in itself over on my Instagram  HERE** It's one of the best ways to get all your B vitamins. While it won't give you 100% of all 12 of them it gives you close enough and complete satisfaction in some, all in your first meal of the day!

After doing a workout I decided to make a creamy "protein" smoothie which is one of my all time favourites. It has 3 bananas, almond milk, 4 or so dates, peanut butter, coconut sugar and carob powder for a chocolate-y taste! You could add some protein powder if you like, I didn't have any at the time but you get get plenty of different hemp and rice ones!

Doesn't look the best but this was actually super tasty. I added a curry sauce to the rice and some Siracha sauce and seasoning to the rest

Whats your fav food right now?

What I eat in a day #4- hclf

Hellooo,

Now that I have a (nearly) functioning kitchen I've reignited an old flame -my Nutribullet. After months of not being able to have smoothie bowls and lots and lots of yummy fruit, I can safely say I missed it! That being be said, I haven't got very much ripe fruit in the house..(if it's not one thing, it's the other!)
Anyhow, I made the best of what I had. As always I had snacks along the way like bread and crackers with the soup and some extra food like more apples, alongside the smoothie!

Porridge and orange and mango juice!

Banana, date and cocao goodness with 1 apple and a tablespoon of milled flaxseed, sunflower & pumpkin seeds as well as Linseed with cranberry and almonds! I mainly put these in my smoothie bowls and smoothies for the extra crunch but theyre also a really good source of omega 3, vitamin E, Zinc and Magnesium!

This soup has been a god send this winter. Super filling and hearty!

What has been your winter staple?

What I eat in a day #3 // hclf vegan.

Winter has well and truly arrived with big scarves and heavy coats galore! Thw weather her as been pretty dull with way too much rain for my liking which is really the reason why there's been a lack of outfit posts around here. With that in mind I thought I'd get a follow up post to my last one ((click here!) to tide me over untill this weather sorts itself out!
(PS, please bare in mind that these arer just the main meals I have in a day, this doesn't include snacks!)

Yellow melon with some frozen berries and 1 banana. Not sure if I like the berries with it to be honest, but it made for a great photo so I just went with it. I ended up eating most of the berries separately!

4 frozen bananas, a handful of frozen berries and gluten free, vegan "Jammy Dodgers" from Aldi!

Spicy Tomato Pasta with some spinach! I added chilli flakes, paprika, garlic powder, oregano and some black pepper to season. No need for salt!

What I eat in a day || hclf

Hellooo,

So seen as September is often known as the 'month of new beginnings' I decided to include a bit of a more lifestyle post as opposed to the usual 'outfit of the day' kind of posts. Recently I switched up my diet completely.I try to maintain a high carb low fat diet. It's been a gradual process but for the last 2 months I've gone fully vegan, prior to this I had gotten rid of meat and dairy, milk in particular since January. This whole change was mainly for skin reasons but also because I came to realise that there is no need to drink it, any nutrients that are in it can be gotten from another, more natural source. Considering it's not natural for us to drink it and also considering that we're the only species who drinks the milk of another, which is bizarre if you think about it.. But that's another story, I may end up doing a more detailed post on this lifestyle but for now I'll just include these photos of a typical day for me!

Each day I drink a litre of water before having breakfast mainly because I'm pretty thirsty! Occasionally I put lemon in it but not always. Regardless my aim each day is to drink at least 3 litres of water! After chugging this back I usually go for a 45 minute run, on and off of course!

Smoothie bowls are my new favourite thing. They're super filling and will curb any sweet tooth for sure! This one has 5 bananas and a bunch of frozen mango blended with coconut milk with nectarines and chia seeds to top. 5 bananas might seem like a lot but when they're blended you don't notice and this is just how many it takes for me to feel full and satisfied. One of the best things about
this lifestyle is that you can eat as much as you like!

Baked potato salad with sweet chilly sauce. I had 2 apples and a pear alongside this too!

Veggie stir fry is one of my faves. I added sweet chilli sauce to this too along with lots of spices and rice noodles.

Till next time!

Smoothie Lovin'

Random foodie post for today. While trawling through Instagram and Pinterest, I kept seeing these Acai smoothie bowls that looked uh-mazing, so I thought I'd try them out. Now it was at this point that I released I had no Acai at home, naturally. So I made do with what I had. With the help of my trusty Nutribullet it took a max of 5 minutes to prepare and blend.

Ingredients:
x2 Bananas (frozen or otherwise)
Handful of frozen berries
Soya Milk
Coconut Water
Seed mix (mine had flax, sunflower and chia seeds)
Vanilla Essence ...because why not?!

There you go, fairly simple. I'm not one to spend hours in the kitchen in the mornings particularly for breakfast!
