The Best of 2015.

Hiii,
So as I've mentioned before I'm not one for resolution posts at New Years but before the day is out and 2016 is upon us (time is flyin' ey?!) It would be worthwhile having a look back at 2015 at some of my proudest posts. I've definitely come a long way in the last year in all aspects of blogging. Between content, image quality and the overall blog design, a lot has changed around here...for the better, no doubt!
2015 was the year of the dreaded Leaving Cert exams, which are thankfully over and done with never to be spoken about again. Once they were out of the way I had one of the best holidays I've ever been on with my friends. No better way to celebrate the end of an era as I finished school and got ready for college (Uni). Amidst all this I made the biggest lifestyle change for me thus far; going vegan. As one of THE best changes I've ever made, I've written a few posts on why vegan and some posts on what I actually eat now! And I hope to continue learning and talking about it around here so keep your eyes peeled if you're interested!
And who could forget the music that I've been addicted to this year. 2015 was define try a weird year for me in terms of my music taste I went from loving a lot of Irish artists(and still do!) like Hudson Taylor, The Coronas, Hozier and of course Coldplay to becoming a fan of 1D?! I don't know where, when or how it happened but I'm glad it did.(for the most part, the part where zayn leaves could of been left out but sure look..). If you haven't listened to any of their recent albums and are still stuck in that mindset that the fandom is comprised only of 12 year old screaming girls..you'd be wrong. Having gone to their gig in Dublin, followed fan accounts on vine, twitter and the rest and having written a few style posts inspired by them, I'd say there's no escape now!
What positive changes did you make in 2015?

The Bomb.

Helloooo,

So naturally I've found myself addicted to wearing my new Boohoo bomber. You can mix it with anything and it comes pretty well, and it definitely adds something to any outfit, an edgy vibe or a pop of colour. My mission of incorporating more colour into my wardrobe is still underway. Pretty much with any money I have to spend on clothes I spend it on as much colour as possible!
With the colder weather coming in and the winter pieces in full swing in the shops, they are filled with deep, rich colours so at the moment I've been eyeing up mostly pastel colours as that's all that there seems to be in the shops. That said, before you know it we'll have spring upon us once again sure so maybe I'm better off embracing it , right?

Sky High.

New look shoes// Forever 21 jumper// Topshop jeans//Pennys shirt.

Hello again...

Very much a chilled post compared to my last  (which you can catch here) this time around.
In an effort to gather more colourful pieces in my wardrobe I bought this sky blue jumper which I surprisingly love. I'm not usually  one for blue pieces unless they're a really deep, rich shade as I tend to find that blue kind of washes me out and can seem a bit cold to be honest.
That said, I figured it was a nice piece to start off with. I've recently put myself on a spending ban for anything black so as a first purchase I thought this was a decent option. Granted, I know I'm wearing this with pretty much all black but..baby steps, baby steps..

Have you put yourself on any spending bans lately?

Working It Out.

Aloha,

Sports Luxe is would seem- a trend thats really hit the fashion world in reason times, well as much as I do love a good pair of Nike workout leggings or the latest Adidas Stan Smith trainers (which will be mine) at the moment the only sports luxe I have going on is my workout gear.

Considering they're clothes that I'll be sweating in and all things ew, I feel there is no real need to go all out, buying more expensive workout clothes from the likes of Nike or Victoria's Secret and the likes. As much as I do love their workout collections my budget just doesn't agree, I'm afraid.

So what better place to go when looking for value for money clothes but Pennys/Primark, eh?! Apart from the trainers(obvs) everything here is Primark. I think a good pair of trainers is needed when doing exercise, so they are justified and Nike ones are always super comfortable.

What's your staple brand for workout clothes?

Instagram round up #1

Hola,

I though I'd include an Instagram  segment as a post for a change this week, just to mix things up. It's something I may include in the future we'll see how it goes sure.
Considering my Instagram, blog and just about anything social in my life is going to be dead for the next few weeks thanks to exam stress, (fun times) I guess now is the prime time to try this out, right?!

Current Drugstore Faves.

Decided to do a bit of a beauty post today. Summer holidays have just began so hopefully, I will be able to post a lot more from now on.

Catrice:
This is a brand that doesn't seem to get much attention, but in my opinion is pretty comparable to  it's more expensive counterparts. Others have compared this concealer to being as good as Mac. It covers and hides blemishes really well and blends into the skin naturally while the powder sets any concealer without making it cake your darker.

Kiko:
I spotted this brand while away on a trip in Italy.everything was reasonable priced and looked amazing. However I wasn't able to buy everything so I limited myself to a few items, two of which are the 30 day treatment Mascara and the Kiss balm in Blackberry. Generally I wouldn't be too keen on balms or lipgloss or anything like that, I usually prefer a lipstick or nude lip. However, this
smelled devine! And actually adds a decent amount of colour
particularly for a balm! The mascara does what any mascara is supposed to do. However I would say it lengthens the lashes more then anything.

Maybelline:
This is a great dupe to Mac's paint pots. The consistency is the same and it goes on like a dream. This is in the shade 'on and on bronze' . Personally I think this works great with blue/green eyes!

Austria.

This is the second post in a three part series on my trip to Germany, Austria and Italia!

We visited Salzburg while in Austria and got to visit the house in which Mozart grew up in, the place where the sound of music was filmed and Neuschanstein Castle. The views from all around Austria are truly stunning.they make any bus journey so much easier.

Review- Garnier Micellar water

I'm not usually one to write beauty reviews as I find there are many fabulous bloggers that do multiple reviews of beauty products, so whenever I need to research a product before I buy it, I simple look it up on bloglovin'(of which you should really follow me on -->) or I google it!
However I felt that this product is one I need to get off my chest. So here I am...

Up until recently I had never heard of "Micellar Water". Whilst reading other blogs, I became intrigued by it, and before you know it I was in my local boots purchasing a bottle! As it states it takes off face, eyes and lips makeup-which is super handy as it means you don't have to buy a separate bottle of eye make-up remover. (And before you think, "yeah but it won't take off my mascara" I can prove you wrong) Despite the fact that it hasn't got as much oil as say, eye makeup remover, it still does the job, without feeling oily or greasy nor does it make your skin feel striped of natural oils, or dry. It genuinely does feel just like water! Think I'm lying? Go on, try it, at around €7 you can't go wrong!
