Texture

Ok, so after all the festive fun, I'm feeling the urge to actually start doing something now (wow) especially after the countless Roses and Quality Street tins I've gone through...so I thought I'd start with a blog post and move on to school stuff a little later(hopefully)

So for this outfit I was really looking to create texture. The mohair jumpers are really popular these days and this one is surprisingly, not itchy and really soft  (WIN WIN!) The shoes were such a lovely little bargain piece , they were reduced to €20 from €30(I have no idea why) and are in mint condition! The picture doesn't really do them justice but they are pretty chunky. Everything is from New Look by the way!

So there you go, happy new year and bring on 2014!

Marco Polo

Dress,Polo neck+rings-Pennys(Primark)//Boots-River Island//Lipstick- Mac Morange

Just a few bits and bobs I've picked up lately. Since it's starting to get pretty chilly i decided it would be a good idea to get some umber-comfy polo neck jumper, and what better place to pick up these fab basics than  Pennys! They have a tonne in at the moment, along with a 'gizillion' different colours! They're actually pretty good material especially considering the price.( €6 each.. bargain!)

The boots, I featured in my previous post, they're so chunky and add an edge to any outfit. The dress is also another gem from Penny's. It was in the sale reduced to €7, and with the cute daisy print i couldn't resist! Can't wait to style these!

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloweenie.

Coat-Charity shop// Dress-River Island//Tights+Stockings-Pennys(Primark)//
Boots-River Island

So if your not in the Halloween mood yet (what the hell is wrong with you?!) then maybe you can get some last minute inspiration here! Halloween is definintely one of my favorite times of year.Who doesn't want to dress up as some weird zombified creature and get sweets for it?!

Anyway my outfit/costume thing..didn't take very long at all contrary to what i thought. It was my first time doing a proper Halloween makeup look, as i was going to a Halloween party and wanted to make the effort.
All you really need for the makeup is tissue, adhesive(you can use eyelash glue or even non-toxic glue),Berry lipstick,red/purple toned eyeshadows and fake blood. The key to this look is definitely blending.Once you put any eyeshadow on, you should blend it completely so that it really gives the zombified and realistic look.
Just be carefull as to what glue you use, if you use non-toxic glue it's probably best not to wear makeup on underneath it because it won't stick for very long. As for clothes, i went for a kind of creepy doll look but again my main focus was on the makeup.

(Also, has anyone else checked out the google home page, if you haven't do it now!)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Holidays a comin'

Fur Gilet- Bershka// Cut-Out Boot-River Island// Tarten Leggings-Bershka// Beanie- French Boutique.

Winter (i.e Christmas) is on its way, which I'm sure you can't forget with this weather we're having at the moment. Anyway this is just a quick post on my winter/ autumn essentials. The cut-out boots are all over the  highstreet these days. These boots are the most similar to the Jeffrey Campbell boots except on the highstreet, well that could find anyway! Tartan, as I'm sure you all know is everywhere this season, along with Beanies. The gilet, is a pretty handy piece to throw on over a leather jacket on those days that are too warm for a winter coat but a bit too chilly for just a leather jacket!
Have you started getting into the winter spirit yet?

Lust List.

Asos Parka/ Topshop Mom Jeans/ Topshop plain band midi rings/ Dr Martens aggyness deyn/ American Apparel stretch velvet skirt/ Forever 21 retro Hoodstooth leggings.

With all the A/W collection in most stores now I find my wishlist forever growing.I'm so ready to leave  my summer wardrobe behind for a new winter one as I've always preferred winter fashion.(probably because we don't get much of a summer here in Ireland!)
Anyway so these are just a handful of picks from my wishlist. A Parka jacket  is something I've wanted for a while now, I honestly don't know why I never bought one! They look so comfy!
Mom Jeans are something that I've had my eye on for a while but never had the money to get them, hopefully some day I will! The American Apparel velvet skirt and the Topshop midi rings are also items I've been on the hunt for for but I can't seem to find a cheaper alternative(forever skint..) while the Forever 21 Hoodstooth leggings  are just a funky way to brighten up any wardrobe!

Now let me swiftly move on to the amazing shoes in this lust list. These are the Dr Marten aggy strap boots that were launched about a year ago. I've have literally been on the hunt for these the last 3 months and can't seem to find them anywhere. I've managed to save up most of the money that I think they'll cost but can't seem to find a store in ireland that sells them. I think my best bet is to keep trawling through the Internet in the hope Ill find them at a decent price...
Please let me know if you know of a website or store that sells these and/or the price, haha, cause'  right now it feels like mission impossible!

July Beauty Favorites.

Yes Summer has come and gone already. I know I can't believe it either. Yep, August is here, anyway here's a few things I've been loving.

Rimmel Instant Tan: I'm not usually a fan of instant tans, I rather gradual ones for over night, but a few of my friends had it and said it was great so I gave it a go. It does leave a nice "I've just been to Spain" kind of look! It's also matte so you don't have to worry about looking like a fairy. It's best applied with a glove but be aware it drys pretty quick, it can go really wrong if your not carefull!

Essence studio nails 24/7 nail base:  There's not really much to say here. Basically, It does what it says on the tin. It drys in super fast and any nail varnish glides over it really well.

Impulse 'Very Very Pink':  I'm personally not the biggest fan of perfumes, I rather body fragrances most of the time, especially Impulse. This one is my fav. It  smells so fresh!

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara: I was looking for a new mascara, and decided to go back to basics. This mascara is perfect for when you want an effortless natural look, but can be layered up for a more dramatic effect.

Sunglasses: I don't think I've taken off these sunnies since I got them, I love them! I got them in the River Island sale at the start of July. They were reduced from €20 to €6 so I couldn't leave them! They're almost like a more wearable vintage version of John Lennon glasses!

Thanks for stopping by!

Rimmel London- Kate Moss Matte Lipstick Collection.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well, I decided to do a quick lipstick review as these have been my current 'go to' lipsticks recently.
Im not quite sure how long ago Rimmel released this collection, but i know it's not new. I'm  sure most lipstick lovers have tryed these already and considering they're so cheap i would recommend anyone giving them ago. I got mine from Boots for around €7.00, which I think is pretty descent!

The shades I have are are quite different. One is perfect and light for summer , the other is quite dark and more suited for winter, in my opinion. However I love both equally. I'm someone who just isn't into lipgloss (never have been) so when I seen that this lipstick was matte it was a bonus!

                                            (Left)-101, (Right)-107.

The pigment in both these colours is quite strong. There's also no bad taste with theses lipsticks. Often I find that drugstore lipsticks can have a pretty bad taste, but these are grand. However they do have a fragrance, but I actually like it. For some reason the baby pink lipstick has a stronger smell than the burgundy one! They both smell like typical lipsticks I quess, but the pink lipstick has a hint of sweets off it!

Overall I would recommend these to anyone, even if your not sure weather or not you'd like the matte, just go for it. They are most definatly worth the price! Don't forget to follow!
